Takata Airbag Recall Expands by 12 Million Vehicles

The largest auto recall in U.S. history continues to grow. On Friday, May 27, Takata expanded its airbag recall in the U.S. to include more than 12 million vehicles manufactured by eight major automakers: Honda, Fiat Chrysler, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Ferrari, and Mitsubishi. With more than 4.5 million inflators, Honda had the biggest recall total, while Fiat Chrysler reported 4.3 million. Drivers aren’t the only ones impacted though; Honda’s total includes around 2,700 Gold Wing motorcycles with optional front air bags.
