New bank notes circulation : Banks begin receiving new notes

Commercial banks have began receiving new currency bank notes unveiled on Saturday  even as  foreign exchange dealers warned of strict surveillance against anyone who attempts to clean illegally acquired money or fake currencies through the system. Experts have however warned of a likely depreciation of the shilling as Kenyans rush to beat the four months moratorium given by the central bank  to replace the old 1000 shilling note with demand for foreign currency  expected to go up
