For many start-ups and small businesses, the subscription-billing process allows them to scale rapidly, opening up new revenue streams. It also empowers businesses of all sizes to optimise their growth potential through recurring payments rather than one-time sales, increasing customer loyalty.

"We are excited to team up with a leading payment service provider like Mollie to offer an all-in-one subscription management and billing solution to manage payments, service and support on a global scale," said Eric Chan, Head of Global Partnerships at Chargebee. "The integration empowers our merchants to accept leading European payment methods to drive sales and grow their subscription business in multiple geographies."

Chargebee's new integration with Mollie provides an advanced subscriptions solution for Mollie's customers and helps to solve EU-VAT tax and invoicing compliance automation for EU-based subscription businesses. The partnership will drive growth for Mollie's SME customers, allowing them to focus more of their resources on product development, shortening their time to market. It will also help SMEs to scale up with metrics available for how they run, invest in, and value their business as it grows.

"Right now, what both consumers and merchants value most are speed and flexibility. By partnering with Mollie, we are excited to offer customers the ability to get started almost instantly and to grow and scale across borders and product lines," added Krish Subramanian, CEO of Chargebee.

Brankas develops world's first Banking-as-a-Service open source license

Brankas | November 24, 2022

Open Finance technology leader Brankas has developed "Brankas Open", a first-of-its-kind open source license for the next generation of Banking-as-a-Service and Open Finance software. The "Brankas Open" license is meant to encourage digital banking and fintech innovation and lower the cost barriers for startups, neobanks, and even traditional institutions to quickly prototype and launch new solutions, while retaining their own source code. Customers will benefit from more choice and better user experience, as companies have open access to use, modify, redistribute, and collaborate on the publicly available Brankas Open code. The inspiration for Brankas Open came when Brankas received a grant from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in November 2021 to develop Brankas APIX Open Core, a proof of concept open source core banking system. Recognizing the need for a modernized Open Source framework to address new Open Finance technology, Brankas looked to existing open-source licensing frameworks in order to develop Brankas Open. Brankas felt that this framework was necessary to protect community contributions, ensure open access, and comply with financial institutions' data protection and security requirements. "Brankas' Open license allows our team to build and contribute in a way that is fair, equitable, and open to independent developers, FIs, and to our partners. With this license, Brankas is able to continue to invest in the greater open source community, and to share our code freely with the world," - Brankas co-founder and CTO, Kenneth Shaw Brankas has been advised by Ren Jun Lim, Alex Toh and Darren Leong from Baker McKenzie's Singapore-based Intellectual Property and Technology (IPTech) practice group. Businesses adopting stablecoins get all the benefits of crypto without the volatility: lower fees, secure transactions, and instant cross-border payments. Crypto-economic systems are enhancing access to core commodities like file storage and decentralized wireless and the business benefits are significant. Enterprise Blockchain: Enterprise blockchains are networks designed for large companies and organizations. They retain the core benefits of blockchains, such as efficiency and immutability, but tweak the underlying permissions to help businesses with data safety, faster transactions, and better supply chain management.
